About Us 

Welcome to Indiana Online Only (IOO), where we offer a tailored approach to adult education, guiding students on their journey toward earning their High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma. Our program is designed to meet the diverse needs of learners across Indiana, providing specialized pathways for individuals at different skill levels.

IOO Fundamentals: For students scoring needing extra support, we offer the Fundamentals program. Students are placed in Aztec classrooms tailored to their needs, where they receive personalized instruction, including live "Skill of the Week" classes, open office hours, 1:1 tutoring, and mandatory tutoring sessions with their instructor.  

IOO ABE: Students not yet considered HSE test-ready, but can work independently are enrolled in our ABE program. Here, they work on enhancing their skills under the guidance of dedicated instructors, who monitor progress, provide additional resources, and offer referrals for as needed.

IOO Pre-Fast-Track: Students showing  HSE readiness in most subjects or on the cusp of readiness are placed in our Pre-Fast-Track program. They engage in remediation or begin completing Aztec GED-ready tests in subjects they're prepared for. Referral to the VU ABE Testing Coordinator for GED testing vouchers is facilitated while they continue to hone their skills in other subjects.

IOO Fast-Track: Students entering with HSE-ready scores proceed directly to our Fast-Track program. They complete Aztec GED Ready Tests, work on the GED calculator lesson, write essays with instructor feedback, and are guided through the registration process for the GED or HiSET test.

Vincennes University Adult Basic Education’s IOO program provides a 100% distance education option, serving students across all 92 counties in Indiana. Our program utilizes a blend of synchronous and asynchronous activities, including proctored virtual TABE pre-testing, an online curriculum with instructor support, and vouchers for  HSE testing.

We employ the Clock-Time Model and Teacher-Verification Model to track proxy contact hours, ensuring comprehensive learning experiences. IOO utilizes Aztec Software for online learning, designed in partnership with the creators of the GED test. Additionally, teacher-created assignments supplement student learning, with time values tracked as distance education hours.
